This
small, friendly town is set in Banff National Park. As the
area has been protected, it is not unusual to find wild elk
wandering through the town. Banff has three areas that can
be skied and are all on one pass. They are Norquay, Sunshine
and Lake Louise.

the slopes just as interesting as the skiing. |

It
is difficult to describe specifics about Banff as the skiing
itself takes place at three other resorts. However, the following
information shows which areas are best for different abilities.
|

has an excellent ski school as well as nursery slopes
to encourage anyone starting at this level. |

runs in tasteful settings, which will satisfy most intermediate
skiers. |
|
Advanced
= The North American at Norquay offers steep mogul runs,
whereas Lake Louise has challenging Back Bowls to test
any expert. |

husky dog sledding, heli-skiing, night skiing at Norquay,
natural hot spring pools. |

places offer wild-west evenings, which is an alternative
to going to a club. |

are over 100 restaurants to choose from, but make sure
you try some of Alberta's beef during your stay. |
